1. Information we collect
KittyHub collects account and profile information such as your user ID, display name, email address, optional profile photo, city, age, gender, sign-in provider, and optional Egyptian phone number (+20).
We also process information you create in the service: cat profiles, photos, breed, age, health and care details, descriptions, adoption or hosting availability, favorites, swipes, matches, ratings, messages, requests, blocks, and reports.
Technical information may include notification tokens, language, platform, Android and app versions, and activity timestamps. KittyHub does not request precise location, contacts, call logs, microphone, or continuous camera access.
Google Analytics for Firebase collects app usage events, an app-instance identifier, approximate location derived from masked IP addresses, and standard device and session information to help us understand and improve feature usage. Our custom analytics events do not include account IDs, message text, names, phone numbers, search text, or care notes. Advertising ID collection is disabled.
2. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; show profiles and cat listings; provide matching, adoption, hosting, reminders, messaging, ratings, and notifications; investigate reports; prevent abuse; support users; troubleshoot the service; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. What other users can see
Your display name, profile photo, city, rating, cat listings, cat photos, and details you intentionally publish may be visible to other KittyHub users. Your phone number and contact-owner option are shown only when you enable contact sharing in your profile. Messages are visible only to conversation participants. Reports are private and are not shown to the reported user.
4. Service providers and disclosures
KittyHub uses Google Firebase for authentication, Google Sign-In, database storage, cloud functions, push notifications, and usage analytics. Cloudinary processes uploaded profile and cat images. These providers process data on our behalf and may process it in countries outside Egypt.
We may disclose information when required by law, to investigate abuse, or to protect users, animals, KittyHub, or the public. We do not disclose private reports to ordinary users.
5. Notifications and device access
With Android notification permission, KittyHub sends alerts about messages, matches, requests, safety, and care reminders. A device token is stored to route push notifications. Photos are accessed only when you select them for upload.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep account information while your account is active and as needed to provide KittyHub. Deleting your account removes your active Firebase account, profile, cats, favorites, swipes, matches, conversations, messages, notifications, blocks, ratings, and related KittyHub records.
Uploaded images may require provider-side cleanup and can remain in backups for a limited period. Safety reports, security records, and information required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution may be retained only for those purposes and isolated from ordinary app use. Web deletion requests are normally completed within 30 days after identity verification.
7. Your choices and rights
You can edit profile and cat data, make your phone number private, control notifications, remove listings, block users, and delete your account in the app. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of your personal information. Send requests from the email connected to your account so we can verify identity.
8. Security
We use authentication, access-control rules, encrypted network connections, restricted report access, and server-side secrets. No online system is completely secure; protect your credentials and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. Children
KittyHub is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child created an account so we can investigate and delete the data where appropriate.
10. Updates and contact
We may update this policy when KittyHub, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date and communicate material changes when practical. Email abdelrahman.tarif10@gmail.com with privacy, rights, or deletion questions.
